Specialist/Railway Modeller Luke Thomas has been at it working out this complicated scenery. First off, we used the French method Papier Mache to build the base. We painted it with a purpler acrylic and then used static grass. I then went to work, with a vengeance, with the bushes and undergrowth. In the meantime, the pond was filled with half and inch of vanish to get our water effect. Then we glued the palisade fence in to place all we are waiting for now are some trees ordered online, fix them in place and we can put the town back. Once that is done, we are moving onto the turntable on the other side of the layout who's position has already been marked, turntable built and already for the engine shed to be built and fitted.
