For HST enthusiasts, the 18/05/2019 was a sad day; the last HSTs left Paddington. Hundreds of fans crowded the platform to watch this historic event as the trains went to various destinations. It was the end of an era after over 40 years of service. These much loved machines were common in South Wales and the South West and will be sorely missed. They have been replaced by the Hitachi Class 800. Will these last as long as the HSTs?
