D-Day 75th Year Anniversary

In the months building up to the most famous invasion in history, Britain's railways played a pivotal role. Troops, tanks, aircraft, shells, trucks and food were brought from all parts of the country to assembly points in the south in preparation for the landings. Without the railways, it would have been impossible for the armed forces to prepare for the attack. The brave men and women who took part helped destroy Hitler's evil dream.

Many Thanks,

The LRD Team
