First heritage railway visit since March!

Yesterday we were at the Severn Valley Railway for our first heritage line visit since March. We took the Flyer from Kidderminster to Bridgenorth and that included an hour and half stop at Highley for a visit at the Engine House. The Engine House has a collection of steam locos from all regions and we took lots of photos. All the stations on the line are carefully preserved representations of how they would have looked in the golden age of steam. The Severn Valley Railway passes through some of the most beautiful scenery with viaducts, cuttings and a tunnel. The line is 16 miles long and was opened in 1862 and closed in 1970. The railway had excellent safety precautions in place including hand sanitizing stations, one-way pedestrian systems, face coverings, social distancing and control entry to shops and refreshment rooms. It was an excellent day even if it was a tad hot!

Best Regards
