S&D Celebrates 195 Years!

The
world famous Stockton & Darlington Railway celebrated its 195th birthday today. George Stephenson built the world's first passenger railway on the route originally intended for freight from Darlington to the docks at Stockport. Because of this achievement Britain led the way in railway development.
